About the event

Autobiography: Telling Your Story

Led by Nicola McCartney and Rosie Reid, Articulate are excited to invite you to a series of writing workshops that help you use your lived experience to tell your story.

These workshops will introduce how applied theatre methods can be used to explore people’s real life stories, unpacking the principles and potential pitfalls, and share some exercises to use in your own practice. The workshops hope to build a foundation to begin personal storytelling in a way that is caring and careful, compassionate and considered. Participants can expect to leave with a more in depth understanding about autobiography and how we consider telling and sharing personal stories. The sessions will continue to build writers confidence in their own writing practice.

This workshop is for care experienced young people.

Dates: Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Saturday 18th April 2026
