Creative Archiving

Grow your skills and confidence in art-making and archive-building while exploring playful and imaginative ways of collecting, categorising, and mapping. Together, we’ll experiment with mark making, collage, sculpture, and sound—shaping the process with the ideas and voices of the young people on the programme.

Erika Silverman is an archivist and artist, with a background in information science, communities and heritage. She has worked in the heritage, culture and archive sector for years, working with various venues and organisations on how to preserve unsung narratives. Much of her work has involved working with individuals and organisations to teach archival and conservation practices and promote open-source information sharing to break down barriers to preservation. Erika is currently archivist in residence at Strange Field. 

Coral Brookes is an artist, educator and programmer interested in play, creative learning and relationships to spaces, materials and objects. She has taught in community contexts, colleges and schools for over…
